In 2011 German Renewables Shipbrokers GmbH was established by industrial engineer Philippe Schönefeld and naval architect Matthias Mross. After a period of rapid growth, GRS quickly became the market leader in Europe, and in 2015 the company was renamed Global Renewables Shipbrokers GmbH. The Hamburg-based company owes this success mainly to its diverse team of outstanding and dedicated experts who support client projects every day. Thanks to their skills and in-depth knowledge, we can offer our customers a broad range of services.
In 2021, GRS became GRS.GROUP with the business units GRS.Offshore Renewables and GRS.Ferry+Cruise.
GRS.Offshore Renewables focuses on Strategy+Sourcing as turnkey consultancy providing project management and tender support, on Marine Assets such as Chartering, Sale and Purchase, offshore Equipment and INVEST+FINANCE.
MEANWHILE GRS.Ferry+Cruise provides professional services in Chartering, Sale and Purchase and “MICE” specifically for ferry and cruise vessels.
Since 2011, the GRS story has been picking up pace. From two to over twenty team members. From one to five global offices. From newcomer to the world market leader. From ship brokerage to a full service provider. Â
