Andre Nikolaisen holds a Master degree in Maritime Economics and Logistics from Erasmus University, Netherlands, and a Bachelor degree in Nautical Science from Alesund Maritime University, Norway. His passion for vessels and the maritime industry arise from a family with a long tradition within shipping and fishing in Norway. Andre started his maritime career in the early 2000’s working offshore as a deck officer and DP operator on offshore vessels and cruise ships sailing worldwide. Through his time offshore, he was working with various subsea and complex deep water operations in harsh weather conditions. Andre Nikolaisen commenced his Shipbroker career in 2008 with RS Platou, where he held various positions as Managing Director for RS Platou Brazil and President for RS Platou USA, during which time he concluded several charter contracts and sale & purchase transactions. Since 2017 Andre has been working for Affinity Offshore as a ship broker out of Houston, Texas supporting clients in the entire Americas region. Andre speaks Norwegian and English fluently, and has a dual US / Norwegian Citizenship.
